I rewatched the trailer a few times and will say it’s beautiful and fun, but a bit odd. It’s like pitting gunships against warriors with bows and arrows.
I also got the feeling that at the beginning of the trailer, it was showing humans trying to implant/connect a human mind to the alien. That’s why when the alien woke up, he said, “This is great!”
My friend RayAlome says that might explain the title: Avatar.

“20th Century Fox has confirmed that the next full-length trailer for James Cameron’s “Avatar” will kick off in theatres this Friday (Oct 23rd) at a runtime of roughly 3 minutes 30 seconds.
The trailer won’t officially be available online until a week later, October 29th.”
3:30? Wow, do they plan on giving away the whole movie?
Haha. They already showed the 1st 16 minutes of the movie to people at the IMAX.
Word of mouth is the new trailer is similar to the start of Disney’s A Christmas Carol Alex, where they run through the films James Cameron directed (boring..) that may be why the trailer runtime is so long.
[Edit] Just watched a bootleg of the trailer, the thing I mentioned above doesn’t take that long. For a good portion of the trailer it is the same as the previous trailer this time with vocals as well as new footage.
It also seems that the trailer has music from one of Michael Bay films (The Island?), apparently Cameron dissed Bays TF2, that won’t please Bay much seeing music from one of his films used in the film of a director who I guess hated TF2.
