In June of 2008, rock icon and music pioneer Todd Rundgren opened his home on the Hawaiian island of Kauai to his friends and fans for a Utopian celebration of music and community. For more than a week, 300 people from all over the world built a community, cooked out, connected and celebrated with each other. Witness Rundgren, family, and fans bless his new home, celebrate his 60th birthday and share the debut performance of his new album “Arena”. Told from the fan’s perspective using actual fan footage, “Toddstock”, is a rockumentary like no other which depicts this unique encounter, a once in a lifetime event that few will ever have the opportunity to experience. With such hits as “Hell’o It’s Me,” “I Saw The Light,” and “We Gotta Get You a Woman,” Rundgren was known as a wunderkind of the early 70s, often writing and playing all the instruments on his albums and a studio wizard. He was also a pioneer in the music video arena, building his own video studio. His song “Time Heals,” was the 2nd video to premiere on MTV when it launched. As a sought after producer, Rundgren has taken the production reigns on many seminal albums, which include Meatloaf’s “Bat Out Of Hell”, Grand Funk Railroad’s “We’re An American Band”, XTC’s “Skylarking”, The New York Dolls’ “The New York Dolls” and The Band’s “Stage Fright”, to name just a few.
