Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen Poster In the highly-anticipated “Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen,” debuting June 26, 2009, Sam Witwicky (Shia LaBeouf) again joins with the Autobots against their sworn enemies, the Decepticons. Michael Bay directs from a screenplay by Ehren Kruger & Roberto Orci & Alex Kurtzman. (Source)

MegaUpload Mirror: 1080p

Note: At the time of post, both downloads are temporarily unavailable, but should be available to download hopefully by tomorrow. If you have a copy and wouldn’t mind sharing, please leave a comment below or send us a message.

Update: Looks like the download links have been removed and the Vimeo video is set to private. Not really sure what happened. You can still see the footage on Michael Bay’s Vimeo Channel.

Update #2: I’ve removed the Vimeo embedded player and links and updated the 1080p link to the 215MB version Alex found below. Still trying to obtain the 600MB version. If someone has it, please do contact us.

Update #3: Michael Bay finally commented on why the footage was pulled:

The Showest footage was pulled down because it was just a 12-hour thing.

I just wanted the fans to get a taste of what we have been making for a year and a half because we have been so quiet. The piece was cut about a month ago for this Showest thing I accepted this past month – so as you can see many of the shots were far from being finished renders. This dinky little site received over 1,500,000 hits and 550,000 downloads in this short time. Anyway the trailer is being printed today and coming out on Wolverine and Star Trek. 64 days left!

  1. I’m currently uploading a 720p MP4 encode to MegaUpload. Got it off YouTube; will have a link in ~5 minutes.

    EDIT: Here’s the link: http://www.megaupload.com/?d=5OM85A1W

Gotta say though, the video is highly compressed.:/ Just noticed the original is 380MB (according to Vimeo). Hopefully that 1080p link will be up soon.

EDIT 2: Removed the YouTube HD rip and added a high-quality 1080p download.

  2. Yah. Typically YouTube re-compresses the files, I don’t usually trust their encodings unless that’s the only option. But it’s good that there’s at least a 720p version available for download.

  3. Here’s a 1080p .avi download. This is a third of the size from the original, so it isn’t gonna look as good as it should, but it’s better than what we have now.

Also, this isn’t my upload so I don’t know how long this link will be up.

EDIT: That .avi file also plays fine on the PS3.

EDIT 2: Decided to upload the file to my MU account, so now there’s a mirror.

  4. great this will do! ive been looking for it in avi format to play on my ps3. hehe just perfect! thanks Alex for sharing this AWESOME trailer!

  5. I think the original 600MB version just had poor compression. Most 2.5 minute 1080p trailers are only around the 200MB mark anyway.

Thanks for sharing that Alex. 🙂

Also, it looks like the original thread is now locked. A new one has spawned: What happend here? Oo and people are speculating to why it was removed.

Interestingly enough, it also uses the same filename: tf2_showest_1080p.zip vs tf2_showest_1080p.avi

  6. And the equivalent trailer that Apple and Yahoo! posted a day later was 70% smaller. I was just pointing out whatever Michael Bay is doing, small file size isn’t a high priority.

  7. I have added links to 720p and 1080p encodes done from the original 600MB file. I uploaded them to MegaUpload, not sure if they will be removed. I named the files and wrote the description so it wouldn’t be too obvious.

  8. Well for the 1080p file especially the bitrate isn’t huge, I only used an average of 7000 using the x264 codec and encoded it so that an average computer will be able to play it back flawlessly without any jumping. That’s why the filesize is quite small. I wouldn’t recommend VLC though, that sucks for HD.

  9. I do not think that reasoning Michael Bay gave is entirely true. I think Paramount made them pull it down, as they tried to remove all traces of it from MegaUpload, RapidShare, YouTube etc.

And the reasoning? I think it is because during that footage near the end were about 3 brief scenes with Megatron in. As we know he was killed in the first, and as to how he returns I have no idea. But this rumor of him returning has been in circulation for months. But I think the pictures linked below speak for themselves, probably will get clarification when the trailer hits about this rumour. Would love for the trailer to end with Megatron :p

  10. Yahoo had days to plan the release of the trailer for this film and somehow they still manage to mess it up. 45 minutes and still no working HD versions. Good god, the only trailer that matters this year and it’s delayed. Boooo. 01:16am here, hope it isn’t delayed for hours, got work in the morning.
