Hulu now has a set of HD videos: Hulu – High Definition Videos Gallery

It’s rather impressive. It supports 1280×720 (720p) and although it’s streaming, it starts playing pretty much immediately. There’s probably a lot of compression going on and it’s probably buffering during the initial 5 second ad. I have to say, I’m impressed by the quality and steaming capability.

The current gallery is includes:

• Dr. Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog
• 30 Rock – Cooter (Season 2 : Ep. 15)
• The Office – Goodbye, Toby (Season 4 : Ep. 18)
• 24 – 10:00 A.M. – 11:00 A.M. (Season 6 : Ep. 5)
• Heroes – Powerless (Season 2 : Ep. 11)

The set is quite limited, but it looks like they’re test driving to see demand and if they can handle it. I look forward to future HD releases.
