I'm not even sure if the movie is suppose to be funny or serious. At first, it had a feeling of <a href="http://www.amazon.com/Hot-Fuzz-Widescreen-Jim-Broadbent/dp/B000RJO578/?tag=krudoethekrue-20" rel="nofollow">Hot Fuzz</a> to it, but then it sort of became serious. At first, it looks like a typical modern setting, but then it zooms into the future where there's cameras everywhere monitoring society and big brother stuff. It's by the director of <a href="http://www.amazon.com/Donnie-Darko-Directors-Two-Disc-Special/dp/B0006GAOBI/?tag=krudoethekrue-20" rel="nofollow">Donnie Darko</a>, so it must just take rewatching the film multiple times before we begin to understand something.
