I personally haven't read the book, but it starts out as one of those a bunch of people trapped in 1 small area type of movies, but then involves the biblical plagues which prevent the people from leaving. I believe a few are trying to sacrifice the first born of some family, but of course the family fights back not letting them take away their son. Movie looks rather interesting.
