I didn’t expect much out of this movie at first, but to my surprise, I found it extremely enjoyable and touching. I’ve rewatched the entire movie twice already and there are certain parts of the movie I’ve rewatched 7 or 8 times.

*** SPOILER ALERT ***

Every time Wilbur says, “That’s an excellent question.” usually means he’s trying to cover up something. Initially, you think it’s just because he’s trying to cover up his mistake, but later on, you’ll realize it’s a much better secret. When Wilbur gave some random actor as the description of his father was when I first had a hunch that Lewis could be his father. However, it was the scene where Franny and the rest of the family rejected their adoption offer which really gave it away for me. The first time you basically go through watching the movie never really expecting Lewis to be Wilbur’s father until very late in the story. However, you have to watch it a second time to really enjoy the subtleties and completely different meanings to what people are saying when they realize that Lewis is Wilbur’s father and Franny’s husband.

As with most time travel films, stuff never quite seems to work out, but I won’t go too deep into that.

I do have to say, if I was Lewis and saw what my potential future would become, how can I possibly stand going back to square 1 and starting from scratch to reach the new future. There basically won’t be much surprises anymore. I’ll know who I’m going to be married to. My first child would be a boy and we’re going to name him Wilbur.

Then the question arises, would I tell this story to my wife and child before the incident occurs where Wilbur forgets to close the door and make sure he doesn’t forget this time around. I guess it doesn’t really matter since Goob’s future has also changed. I really want to see what the future Goob is like, now that he doesn’t have all that pent up hatred toward Lewis.
